I’m not sure what compels someone to use the self car wash at 6:15 am in 45 F weather. It’s a quality that I certainly don’t have. I salute your dedication to cleanliness, fellow traveler!
Proper cell-phone etiquette on the train
One of my least favorite things about people using their cell phones on the train is being forced to listen to half of a conversation.
So major props to the guy sitting behind me who has his phone on speaker mode so I get to hear the whole thing.

Marching for Science
So I was just wondering, what did we decide about science today? Are we still going to do that stuff? Or did we resign ourselves to die of preventable diseases, ruin the earth for the kids, and generally turn back into neanderthals.
I’m ok with it either way, but please let me know soon. If we decided to be dummies, I’m going to sleep in on Monday.

Rat, on location
I don’t make it to San Francisco much anymore, but I was in the city yesterday to attend a conference. Within five minutes, I saw a woman walking down the street with her pet rat on her shoulder. Glad to see SF is still SF.
